Paddle Monster 2 weeks of active rest is over!

For majority of paddlers ended their  2017 race season at  Chattajack 31  including me but some extended until  11/4 “Surf and Sound” at Wilmington, NC .   On 11/30 Paddle Monster training went into 2 weeks active rest for those raced  at Chattajack 31.   For me it was much need it  active rest to enjoy some trail ride.  Much of my active rest ended up  in a Seattle like weather here in Kentucky which made little difficult to be on the trail.  At least I was able to ride 4 times on the trail  adding up to 46miles of fun!.   Nice to be  back on my roots of racing and enjoy the ride while I can.  With a specific cardio session through out the program  I may have manage to ride  8 times  or less this year.   Coming from  riding all the time before I started my SUP racing it has been a big adjustment since 2015.

2 weeks of active rest really puts me into a fresh mind and ready to start the winter program.   From the last year’s winter  experiences,  winter program is “THE” most important time of the season to grow and be ready for your next race season.   I hope everyone will train hard to meet your goals  and  accomplish it during this winter!.
